About This Project

The redevelopment of redundant warehousing and waste land has significantly enhanced this busy shopping park to provide additional retail capacity, light industrial/trade counter units and retirement bungalows. Works were completed in March 2015 after a 12 month construction phase.

With nearly a decade’s history to it, this project was delivered under budget despite significant challenges from site conditions and numerous external factors. These included a complex planning legacy, s278 highways works, significant statutory services diversions and requirements to work within residential gardens to complete boundary treatments. The project also involved achieving a BREEAM ‘Very Good’ rating and a Code 4 * rating under the Code for Sustainable Homes.

The Role

We have taken an active role on the project from the very outset in 2004, through various design and tenant iterations and are pleased to have been able to finally deliver the project. Our commitment was key to ensuring the success of the project from inception through the planning, design, procurement, highways and construction stages. Furthermore, we provided full tenant management services from the Heads of Terms stage through to fitting out and opening for trade. Our continued success has resulted in a further restaurant pod being successfully completed within the site.
