UK Pavilion Milan Expo 2015

About This Project

EXPO Milano 2015 was the World Expo event hosted in Italy with a theme of “Feeding the Planet, Energy for Life. The 3km long site was divided into plots for each participating country with foundations and infrastructure provided by the organisers for the individual pavilions. Each plot was then developed by participating countries to create the iconic Expo visitor experience.

Our Role

Following a late commitment to the exhibition by the UK, key milestones had been missed to follow the standard procedures required by the organisers for design, approval and construction. We were commissioned to meet with the EXPO organisers and negotiate new bespoke, deliverable milestones to enable the UK to organise a design competition, design, construct and fit out a Pavilion for this world renowned event. Whilst meeting on site, further issues were identified in connection with the timing of foundation works which required bespoke solutions and integration with the design competition already commissioned. All changes were agreed and the UK Pavilion opened on time.
