Royal Victoria Place, Tunbridge Wells

About This Project

The project was a major refurbishment of the main malls within the Royal Victoria Place Shopping Centre in Tunbridge Wells, which was originally opened in 1992.  The works were part of a strategy to increase retail demand and increase footfall.

Works involved over-tiling of the mall floors, new high level suspended artwork and associated lighting, redecorations and WC refurbishments together with an updated mall commercialisation strategy.  All works were undertaken outside of trading hours and working closely with the Contractor, used the Covid “lockdown” to manage increased working hours. 

The Role

Enborne Project Consultancy have worked closely with the design team, multiple Client and external stakeholders and the main contractor to deliver a refurbishment scope that will enhance the look and feel of the Centre and at the same time minimise the impact on tenants during the construction period. Our commitment was crucial in ensuring the success of this project from inception, through detailed design, negotiated procurement, and during construction. The detailed coordination of tenants has been critical to the success of the investment.
